Seizoenen: De Herfst

(Seasons: Autumn)

Autumn is a season of change and transition, from hot summer to cold winter. This piece explores this theme, depicting the falling of the leaves, fog and morning dew.

In the center of the piece is a curled and withered leaf, and towards the top is an almost latent sun which is struggling to shine through the fog. Underneath there is a chopping block for wood, a sign of people readying themselves for the winter ahead, and the morning mist slowly descending upon the scene.
