Hoofd Van Een Clown I
(Clownhead I)

A simple symmetrical drawing of a smiling clown.
Its perfectly symmetrical shape has a hypnotic effect on its viewer as the subject’s eyes appear to always be looking at you from any angle.
Daniel Lefèvre is a Belgian artist, currently living and working in São Paulo, Brazil. His motto “there is another world besides colour” reflects his almost exclusively black and white work made using only Rotring Isograph pens to create extensively detailed surrealist artwork inspired by Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, René Magritte and Paul Delvaux.
